What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of hand on healing or “laying of hands”. It is the use of touch to convey warmth, serenity, love, caring and healing through channeling of energy to enhance a persons own life force energy.
Reiki is a divine gift that can help those on a spiritual or inner journey by bringing healing and balance to every aspect of our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual selves.
Is it necessary to have faith?
As a practitioner, I am not concerned with any distinctions of race, class, gender, religious, spiritual, or political beliefs. It is not necessary to have any type of faith, but a WILLINGNESS to heal is helpful
Can you do any harm?
Often a client will feel a temporary worsening of symptoms before relief is obtained. Energy healing has no harmful side effects.
What about my doctor?
Reiki never interferes with medical treatment. It is always IN ADDITION TO and never INSTEAD OF medical care.
What do I charge?
I am a qualified Reiki Advanced Practitioner. I charge R700 for an hour session, which includes a short consultation, spiritual reading (this is optional) and Reiki session.
Reiki healing can help us become more self-aware and confident about allowing positive changes in our lives as we become happier and healthier.
What you can expect
Everyone’s experience of Reiki is different, It can vary from someone seeing different colours, feeling tingles to being very subtle, but it is common for people to say they feel calm and the experience feels very comforting
Reiki is cumulative and even people who don’t notice much the first time usually have progressively deeper experiences if they continue. Besides the immediate experience of the Reiki, you may notice other changes that continue to unfold as the day goes on: perhaps stronger digestion, a sense of being more centered and poised and less reactive, and sleeping deeply that night.
A complete Reiki session is offered to a fully clothed recipient who is lying on a treatment table or sitting comfortably supported in a chair. (This is not a massage)
The practitioner will place their hands on various locations such as the head, feet, front and back of the torso.
Additional placements on the limbs can be done as needed (for example, if there is an injury or surgical scar), The Reiki practitioner can hold her hands just off the body if needed (for example, in the presence of an open wound or burn), and some practitioners always offer Reiki in this way.
